My Top 3 Watches Of February

2024 has been a bit of a slow start to the year. I was hoping for lots of new and original movies and TV series to entertain me, but if I’m being honest, there wasn’t a lot standing out to me. In February, I came across a TV series and two new movies that grabbed my attention. Instead of doing a full detailed review of each one, I thought I would do something a little different. So here are my top three watches of February.

First up, "Fool Me Once" limited series; WOW, what a series! I had been wanting to watch this for a little while, and my boyfriend and I finally got around to watching this fantastic edge-of-my-seat, gripping storyline. In fact, it was so good that we actually binged-watched the entire series all in one evening. The storyline and characters were very enthralling. I have always enjoyed this type of genre because I love trying to work out who did it before the ending tells you, and I have to say it took me all the way up until the last 2 episodes to clock on who did it! This honestly was a brilliant limited series with a jaw-dropping twist of an ending, and I really enjoyed so many of the characters. I won’t give any spoilers, but if you have yet to Netflix binge this series, make sure you do. "Fool Me Once" was hands down the best of all three and my top recommendation to all my readers. I would love for some more series like "Fool Me Once" to come out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Next up, "The Lost City" starring my absolute favourite actress Sandra Bullock. I have loved her work since watching the classic "Miss Congeniality"! First thoughts were that I found this movie to be stupidly hilarious. Honestly, I would have never considered Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum as a great movie duo, but they were brilliant. Their characters were so completely different but like onions, they peeled back layer after layer. I also found it so interesting to see "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe play the villain. Again, I would not have guessed him to be the villain of this movie, but it was very interesting to see him play a different role, as I’ve only ever watched him as Harry Potter. I think the storyline had some originality to it and went from predictable to unpredictable at times, which I liked. I enjoyed Sandra Bullock’s character, a romance novelist with writers, kidnapped trying to survive and escape the jungle, with the beautiful story, the real treasure, so humble and poetic. This was a good triple genre of comedy, adventure, and romance.  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And lastly, "Players"; This is one of those movies that you know how it’s gonna end but watch anyway because it's a feel-good, romcom film. The storyline itself was okay, but as I said, it was very predictable, and I didn’t think there was a lot of originality to the storyline and characters. I wouldn’t class this as a bad film; however, I did feel that it was a bit basic compared to my other two top watches of February. Saying this, I think this movie would fit well for anyone losing faith in love or needing some happy vibes. ⭐️⭐️
