Fortitude Bakehouse Breakfast Batch

This was my second trip to Fortitude Bakehouse, and I decided I needed to do a breakfast run, as I was fancying some baked goods, and Fortitude Bakehouse just happened to be around the corner from my hotel, by the way, just to be clear, I didn’t actually run because I’m not a running gal haha. Anyway, when I arrived, I was spoiled for choice; seriously, from savoury rolls to sweet treats, it was impossible to choose.

Of course, I had to get a sweet choice, and I was getting eyed up by the Cinnamon bun, so I caved and went for it. A few moments later, after biting into the cinnamon bun, I can confirm this was the best cinnamon bun I have ever had! Firstly, it's humungous, and I’m all for a generous portion size. Secondly, it tasted amazing, was so sweet and soft but chewy, and had a perfect taste and aroma of cinnamon. Thirdly, I could have eaten like another 3; they were that good, so this is a no-brainer five-star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I decided to choose a savoury option as I wanted a variety, and I went for the Red Pepper and Feta pastry roll. I love feta, which was what first caught my attention when deciding which pastry roll to choose, and red peppers are good for you, so I was a bit naughty and a bit good. Now, it tasted nice, and the pastry was all flaky and perfectly cooked, and the flavouring was okay, but I was expecting more from the flavour considering that feta is such a strong-tasting cheese. I think it was a little too mild in my opinion, so maybe upping the flavour would really give it the mouthwatering vibes I was hoping for. Overall, I would give it a three-star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I think my food choices were much better this time round, both sweet and savoury, and the staff were all welcoming with a smile pole and friendly as the first time I visited, and I look forward to round three of Fortitude Bakery.
