My Autumn Bedroom Inspo

The sounds of crispy leaves, the feel of fresh cold air on my skin, the snug cozy feeling when I put on my PJs and fluffy socks, and the blended colours of burnt orange, yellow, and browns—there is so much about Autumn that makes me smile. The excitement I get when it's time to pull out the autumn decor, light up the fireplace, and fill the house with aromas of vegetarian stew and all things cinnamon—I just love it.

This year I changed things up a bit and also added some new additions. The cold seasons are my favourite time of the year, and my bedroom decor this year is really coming together nicely. I wouldn't describe my style as spooky but more of a simple, country style. I would call it bringing the outdoors indoors; the Autumn leaves, artificial flowers, acorns, evergreens, and of course, pumpkins.

It's no secret if you check out my Instagram that I may have a little obsession with pumpkins at this time of year. I honestly don't know what it is about pumpkins, but they always look so fun, different, and quirky. I mean, is it even Autumn and Halloween without pumpkins? I had so much fun decorating, and my bedroom highlight for me has to be my giraffe autumn combo, my big window display, my pumpkinfied creative space, and my bookshelves with a touch of Autumn. This was my thought process for each highlighted area.

This year, I combined my giraffe decor with some of my Autumn decor, and weirdly, I think it works really well. Honestly, it was all improvised. Now it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love the results and never thought it would be a combo. But sometimes the best combos are the ones you throw together, plus giraffes are the best. I don't know why I never thought to put giraffes and pumpkins together.

Next was my creative space. At first, I thought I would change my whole colour scheme from blue to burnt orange for the autumn season. However, after going back and forth, I decided to keep it blue because I just love how my desk looks, although to add some autumn vibes. I did add this very intoxicating-to-the-eyes-and-nose blue pumpkin candle and this cute mini blue blush pumpkin. My idea was to keep my creative space simple, as I didn't want it to get too cluttered, and the finished result was great. Sometimes just a little detail can give a whole new look.

Up next was my big window. I love my bedroom window, and the first thing I did was add some autumn garlands handmade by me. Next was the windowsill. Firstly, I needed a centrepiece for the middle, so I chose to create a beautiful bouquet from stems I bought from Primark. Then I added my glittered pumpkin and my "Enter if you dare" tombstone from B&M. I finished the window area off with some jars full of acorns, my candle from HomeSense, and this cute country pumpkin-style sign.

Lastly, my bookshelves. Over the last few years, I have built up my cute little (not so little) book collection and decided to Autumnify/Halloweenify my bookshelves, which was completely improvised. But I love how it turned out. I wanted to keep the simple, not too cluttered theme going, plus with all the books, I didn't have a lot of space to work with.

I said earlier that I got some new additions, and I'm obsessed! Firstly, my Temu finds, now it was quite a haul, but my absolute favourites have to include my new bedding of a solid orange colour, which I have styled with a soft black throw and a dark green pumpkin pillow. I also love my two new pumpkin-styled cups, one in orange and green with a lid and one in a clear colour. Again, so simple and cute. Oh, and as you're reading this, you can see the pumpkin obsession, right? Then my absolute favourite B&M find has to be my ghost bowl. It's so fun and quirky and perfect for my snacks. I have a real love for cute ghost decor now.

Lastly, I really wanted some Autumn/Halloween-themed wax melts, and that's when I came across this lovely handmade business called GG'S Scentiment wax melts. I ordered a scoopies pot of Autumn night, which is just adorable looking, and a pot of pumpkins in a variety of scents, titled cookie dough, toasted marshmallows, witch's brew, hot cross buns, apple and cinnamon, and pumpkin gingersnap. I can confirm they all smell amazing and recommend them to everyone!

It's only September, so I'm sure some more additional decor will come, and if you want to see more, just check out my Instagram. There are lots of pictures and reels to see.

The …Ber months are the best! Wouldn't you agree?
