These are in no particular order, just my personal top 15 actors who’ve made me laugh, cry, and rewatch their films over and over again. Whether it’s a classic from my childhood or something new that completely surprised me, each one has earned a spot on this list for a reason.

1.Dick Van Dyke

A true legend! From Mary Poppins to Diagnosis Murder, there’s something timeless about Dick Van Dyke. He holds a really special place in my childhood; Diagnosis Murder was one of mine and my nanny’s favourite shows. We used to sit and watch it together all the time, and those moments are some of my most humble memories. Even after she passed away, I still rewatch the episodes and feel like she is right beside me. Even now, as an adult, it still brings me comfort and makes me smile.

2.Adam Sandler

No matter how big he’s become, Adam Sandler has always stayed true to himself and that’s what I love most about him. He’s one of those rare actors who can make you laugh every single time, no matter the film. There are so many of his movies I enjoy, from the classics to the newer ones, and he’s just got that feel-good energy that never gets old. And he always cracks me up when he screams, just the way he does it is very comical.

3.Jason Statham

Jason Statham just has that effortless cool factor. Whether he’s racing through Fast & Furious or throwing in his signature dry humour, he always cracks me up, I honestly don’t know how he says some of the things he says with a straight face. His action roles are iconic, but it’s his wit and comical personality that really makes him stand out for me.

4.Tom Holland

He’ll always be my favourite Spider-Man, no question about it. But I also loved seeing him step outside the Marvel universe in Uncharted. It was refreshing and showed just how versatile he can be. He’s got such a natural energy on screen, and it’s impossible not to root for him.

5.Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

I don’t think there’s a single film I haven’t enjoyed him in. From Fast & Furious to Moana, Jumanji, Jungle Cruise, Red Notice, and Central Intelligence, he brings so much charisma and positivity to every role. He’s the kind of actor who just lights up the screen and makes every movie that little bit more fun.

6.Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart never fails to make me laugh. His chemistry with The Rock is absolute gold, especially in Jumanji and Central Intelligence. But he’s also brilliant in Ride Along and Think Like a Man. He’s genuinely funny without ever trying , it just comes naturally to him.

7.Eddie Redmayne

There’s something so captivating about Eddie Redmayne’s performances. In Fantastic Beasts, he completely pulls you into that magical world, but it’s his subtlety and emotion that make him such a standout actor for me. Every role he takes feels thoughtful and beautifully acted.

8.Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg is one of those actors who can do both action and comedy so well. I really enjoyed him in Uncharted alongside Tom Holland, and Daddy’s Home 1 & 2 are absolute favourites, they never fail to make me laugh. He’s just got that likeable, down-to-earth presence on screen.

9.Vin Diesel

It wouldn’t be a list of favourites without mentioning Fast & Furious! Vin Diesel is the heart of that franchise, loyal, intense, and full of passion. I also loved him in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Pacifier. He’s got that deep voice and calm energy that always makes his characters memorable.

10.Jackie Chan

An absolute icon. Jackie Chan has to be one of the hardest-working actors in film history. The fact he does his own stunts and keeps pushing himself with every movie is just incredible. He’s clever, funny, and fearless. I grew up watching him, and he’ll always be one of the greats.

11.Cillian Murphy

I always knew of Cillian Murphy, but Peaky Blinders turned him into one of my top actors. His performance as Thomas Shelby is intense, controlled, and completely magnetic. You can’t look away when he’s on screen he owns every scene he’s in.

12.Samuel L. Jackson

A Marvel legend through and through, but also brilliant in The Hitman’s Bodyguard films. He’s effortlessly cool, naturally funny, and brings this unique confidence to every role. Whether he’s saving the world or cracking a joke, Samuel L. Jackson is always unforgettable.

13.Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. will always be Iron Man to me, no one could have played that role better. He completely owned it and made Tony Stark one of the most iconic characters in Marvel history. I also really admire how he’s managed to stay grounded while bringing so much personality and humour to his roles. Every time he’s on screen, he just owns it, cool, confident, and effortlessly entertaining.

14.Nicolas Cage

I have such a soft spot for Nicolas Cage; National Treasure and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice are two of my favourites, adventurous, funny, and full of heart. He’s got such a distinctive style that makes every film feel unique, and I love that he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

15.Hugh Jackman

From X-Men to The Greatest Showman, Hugh Jackman is just incredible. He’s versatile, talented, and always gives 100% to every role. I absolutely loved seeing him switch things up in The Greatest Showman, it showed a completely different side to him and proved he can truly do it all.

Each of these actors has left their own mark on me, whether through comedy, action, or pure talent. They’ve created characters that have stuck with me long after the credits rolled, and that’s what makes them special. I know everyone has their own favourites, but for me, these fifteen are the ones I’ll always go back to.
