I like to think of this as my personality in list form; A mix of comfort, chaos, and a few too many chai lattes. These are the things that bring me joy, make me smile, and occasionally have me saying, “Okay, maybe I’m a little obsessed…”
1. My Boyfriend
He has to take the top spot, No question about it. He’s not just my boyfriend; he’s my best friend, my biggest supporter, and my safe place all in one. He’s the person who makes me laugh even when I’m in the worst mood, who listens to my endless stories, and who always knows when I need a cuddle, a takeaway, or a day out to reset. Whether we’re off exploring somewhere new or just curled up watching films with snacks, he’s my constant, and my favourite kind of person.
2. Travelling
Travelling is one of those things that just fills my soul. I love exploring the UK, from the beauty of Scotland to the charm of York, the buzz of Manchester, and the rolling landscapes of Wales. Every place has something special to offer, and I love discovering it. Some of my happiest memories have come from those little adventures, long drives with playlists on full blast, exploring pretty towns, or finding hidden gems and tasting new foods. It’s more than just a journey, it’s about the feeling of freedom, discovery, and creating memories along the way.
3. Food (especially Italian and chocolate)
Food genuinely makes me happy, it’s a whole experience. I don’t think there’s anything better than sitting down to a plate of warm, comforting pasta or indulging in something sweet after a long day. Italian food especially has my heart, creamy sauces, melted cheese, garlic bread on the side… pure perfection. And yes, I’ll admit it, I do a little happy dance when good food arrives at the table, every single time. And then there’s chocolate, My ultimate weakness, Whether it’s a fancy dessert or a simple bar of Galaxy, it’s my go-to treat for every mood. For me, food isn’t just about taste, it’s about moments, memories, and sharing happiness with the people you love.
4. Iced Chai Latte
If I could describe my personality as a drink, it would probably be an iced chai latte. It’s sweet, spiced, and a little bit extra, exactly how I like it. There’s just something about that blend of cinnamon and cardamom with the chill of iced milk that makes it the perfect drink, no matter the season. And when autumn comes around, My special order, a pumpkin spice cold foam iced chai latte, is just wow. It tastes like cosy jumpers, golden leaves, and pure happiness in a cup. Honestly, it’s become part of my personality at this point, and I am proud to admit it cause the drink is just Devine.
5. Flowers
I’m completely obsessed with anything floral, and I mean anything. Fresh, artificial, printed, embroidered… I love it all. Flowers just have a way of making everything prettier and softer. Fresh blooms instantly brighten up a room, they make the house feel alive and full of love. Artificial flowers, on the other hand, are perfect for keeping that beauty all year round, and they’re ideal for decorating without worrying about wilting. But it’s not just about the real thing, florals in fashion and décor are also another one of my weakness. A floral dress, floral bedding, even a dainty floral phone case, it all gives that timeless, romantic vibe I adore. There’s something about flowers that feels feminine, elegant, and full of life. They remind me that beauty can be simple and that even small things can make a big difference to your mood.
6. Books
Books are my escape. There’s nothing better than curling up under a blanket with a good story and completely losing track of time. I love that feeling of being pulled into another world, where hours fly by and everything else fades away. I’m drawn to books that make me feel something, whether it’s a cosy romance, a story that pulls on my heart strings, or something that completely surprises me. Reading has always been one of my ways to slow down, reflect, and recharge. It’s quiet, but powerful.
7. Old Architecture
There’s something so special about old buildings. I love walking down cobbled streets, admiring the little details, the carvings, the windows, the weathered brick that’s seen generations come and go. Every building has a story, and I always find myself wondering who lived there, what life looked like then, and what moments those walls have witnessed. I think it’s the charm that gets me, the craftsmanship, the history, the feeling that you’re standing in the middle of time itself. Modern design can be sleek and stylish, but old architecture has soul, and that’s something I’ll always be drawn to.
8. LEGO
Okay, a slightly unexpected one, Elliott actually got me into LEGO, and now I have my own little collection, From botanical flowers to Disney nostalgia sets and more, it’s become one of my favourite hobbies. Getting creative and watching something take shape, It’s fun and gives me that same excitement I had as a kid when getting creative. It’s my little escape, and a fun little date night with Elliott.
9. Autumn and Christmas Season
My favourite time of year, hands down. As soon as the weather starts to cool, I’m in my element. I love everything about it: the cosy jumpers, crisp mornings, fairy lights, pumpkin-scented candles, and festive films on repeat. There’s just something magical about the transition from autumn into Christmas; It’s comfort, excitement, and nostalgia all rolled into one. And of course, my yearly pumpkin picking trip is non-negotiable. It’s become a proper tradition, hot drink in hand, wrapped up warm, picking the biggest pumpkin I can find and pretending I’m in an autumn movie. And then a Christmas movie making hot chocolate, decorating the tree and having festive fun.
10. Tote Bags
I have so many tote bags, probably more than I need, but I’m not even sorry about it. They’re cute, practical, and somehow always match my outfit. I use them for everything: shopping, travel, work, or just as an everyday carry-all. I love how they come in such a variety of beautiful colours and styles, from soft neutrals to bold. They’re simple, but they make a great accessory to any outfit, and they’re way more fun than a boring handbag.
We all have our own little obsessions, and honestly, I think that’s what makes life fun. These are mine, a mix of comfort, creativity, and charm, and I wouldn’t change a single one. Of course, I have many more, but these are my top ten that never fail to make me smile.
