Rekindling An Old Hobby

When you're young, it's all about learning new things, discovering yourself, your skills, and opening your mind up to all you can do and experience. I feel like you have a lot more hobbies when you're a kid, but as you grow up, life gets busier, responsibilities and priorities alter, and your hobbies usually take a step back in your life.
However, I was quite unwell for most of last year. My mental and physical ability to even want to get out of bed was a challenge, but now I’m back on track to a happy and healthier life, and I want to get back to the girl I used to be with all my creative hobbies. After my mum and dad got me some new drawing pens for my birthday, I knew which old hobby of mine I wanted to rekindle.
Drawing - as a kid, I enjoyed drawing cartoons and sketching. I used to play drawing games with my dad, and creativity actually runs quite a bit in my family. I’m not like a proper artist or anything, but it relaxes me. I get to let my creativity out on the page and produce something I’m proud of. I guess you could say it's always been a type of therapy for me.
So, I haven't drawn for years, but at Christmas, my mum and dad gifted me some amazing aqua and metallic pens. Anyone who knows me knows I love stationery. I'm a right nerd when it comes to pens, folders, and especially sticky notes. It's one of my lovable quirks, I say haha. Anyway, over the last couple of months, I have created some artwork, and I have actually surprised myself. I wanted to share what I have created so far.
Below are just a few of my drawings that I have created over the last couple of months. So, welcome to the art gallery of Alex. I hope you enjoy.
